SLOWRIDERS is a very popular, 5 member local county and western, band from Shortsville New York They can be found playing all over the finger lakes area. 


Bring your light jacket and lawn chair and enjoy a night of country music from 8pm to Midnight.

Carnival Schedule

Thursday Night (June 18th)

The Carnival Midway open at 6pm. 

Cake Booth opens at 6pm.

Gambling (games of chance) opens at 6pm.

Beer Stand opens at 6pm.

Food Booth opens at 6pm.

Live Music near the Beer Stand starting at 7pm. 

Carnival Grounds close at midnight.

Make sure you buy your raffle tickets for Saturday night's drawing

(purchase them at the carnival headquarters).


Friday Night (June 19th)

Live Radio Simulcast Broadcast by "BIG DOG" 103.5FM from 4 to 6pm.

The Carnival Midway open at 6pm. 

Cake Booth opens at 6pm.

Gambling opens at 6pm.

Beer Stand opens at 6pm.

Food booths open at 6pm.

Giant Firemen's Parade starts at 7pm. Fireman's Parade

Parade Bands play at carnival grounds from 8 to 9pm.

Live Music Band from 9pm to midnight. 

Parade Judging Prizes announced at 9pm.

Carnival Grounds close at midnight.

Saturday Afternoon (June 20th)

"Pay One Price" Ride Special Wristbands go on sale at 12 noon. 

LIFE NET - Fly by at noon. (depends on weather & availability)

Midway opens at noon.

Beer Stand opens at 12 noon.

Food booths open at 12 noon.

The Fire Prevention Trailer opens at 12 noon.

"Pay One Price" Ride Special from 1pm to 5pm.

Ontario County Sheriff's Dept. - Free Child Fingerprinting.

Adult Competition - Cornhole Board Game. (under the pavilion) 

Kiddie Raffles at 5:15pm. at Headquarters. (Bikes & other prizes)

Midway closes from 5pm to 6pm. (Firemen's Food and Beer Stands stay open).


Saturday Night (June 20th)

The Carnival Midway reopens at 6pm. 

Cake Booth opens at 6pm. 

Gambling opens is open.

Beer Stand is open.

Food Booth is open.

SLOWRIDERS - will be playing from 8pm to midnight.

A big display of Fireworks at 10:30pm. Shortsville Fireworks

Firemen's Raffle Drawing Winners announced at 11pm.

Carnival Grounds close at midnight.

Things to Know

There is an ATM on Location for your convenience. The ATM is located at the Carnival Headquarters.


Handicap Parking. There are a limited number of Handicap Parking spaces near the Carnival Headquarters. First come - first serve bases.


No Overnight Parking Allowed.  Vehicles can not be left at the carnival grounds or Budd Park grounds. Vehicles will be towed at owners expense.


No Overnight Camping Allowed.

No campers, no tents and no sleeping in vehicles in Budd Park or on the Village of Shortsville property.


No Trespassing on the Carnival Grounds from 1am to 8am during the carnival dates. This includes the carnival grounds and all of Budd Park and Village of Shortsville property.


No Weapons are Allowed on the carnival grounds or in Budd Park and the Village of Shortsville property.


No Outside Alcohol is Allowed on the carnival grounds. The only alcohol that is allowed is what is sold at the beer stand and consumed inside the fenced area under the pavilion.


No Pets Allowed on the carnival grounds at anytime during the carnival dates. Certified service animals are allowed only with proper proof of certification for the animal.


No Outside Vendors Allowed Peddling on Carnival Grounds or on Village of Shortsville Property. 

Vendors, at the carnival, have been approved by the carnival committee and the carnival promoter. Any outside vendor needs approval by the Citizens Hose Carnival Committee and the carnival promoter prior to the carnival. No Exceptions. 


Carnival Grounds, Budd Park and Parking Areas are Patrolled by the Ontario County Sheriffs Department, Village of Shortsville Police Department and the Shortsville Firemen's Carnival Security Staff. Anyone that is out of line will be asked to leave and may not come back to the carnival for that year. Those that don't abide will be arrested.
